Chevron (CVX) cut 575 positions in Houston following the completion of its $55B merger with Hess (HES), Reuters reports. The reductions will take effect on September 26, according to the report.

Block (XYZ) will replace Hess Corp. (HES) in the S&P 500 effective prior to the opening of trading on Wednesday, July 23. S&P 500 and S&P 100 constituent Chevron (CVX) has acquired Hess Corp in a deal that closed today, July 18.
