   • Rationale:

     • As a proxy, we use price crossing above the 200‑day MA to capture a similar bullish transition: the stock moves from a longer-term down/sideways phase to trading back above its long-term trend.
     • This tends to identify situations where momentum is improving and can often occur around the same time as, or shortly after, a 50/200 golden cross.

   • Purpose: Restrict results to technology-related companies.
   • Rationale:
     • Matches your request for “tech stocks” by including major tech industry groupings: software, IT services, and hardware/technology equipment.
     • Avoids non-tech sectors (e.g., financials, consumer staples) so the screen stays aligned with your focus.

3. list_exchange: ['XNAS', 'XNYS', 'XASE']

   • Purpose: Limit results to stocks listed on major U.S. exchanges: NASDAQ, NYSE, and NYSE American.
   • Rationale:
     • These exchanges host most of the liquid, widely followed U.S. tech stocks.
     • Improves data quality and tradability compared to including OTC or very illiquid listings.

Why Results Match (and Where They Differ from True Golden Cross)

• We do not currently support a direct 50‑day MA vs. 200‑day MA crossover filter (the textbook “golden cross” definition).
• Instead, we use PriceCrossAboveMA200 as a practical approximation:
  • Both signals focus on a bullish shift around the 200‑day trend line.
  • Price reclaiming the 200‑day MA is often part of, or close to, the period when a 50/200 golden cross would form.
• Sector and exchange filters ensure:
  • You’re seeing tech-only names.
  • They are listed on major U.S. exchanges, consistent with common tech-trading universes.
