   • Rationale:
     • “Biggest percentage gainers” means you’re interested in stocks that have moved up significantly.
     • A 5% minimum move filters out small or routine fluctuations and focuses on meaningful upside moves.
     • This doesn’t literally pick only the single top gainer, but it narrows the list to substantial winners, from which the largest movers can be identified.

2. list_exchange: ['XNYS', 'XNAS', 'XASE']

   • Purpose: To limit results to US-listed stocks on the primary major exchanges:
     • XNYS = NYSE
     • XNAS = NASDAQ
     • XASE = NYSE American (formerly AMEX)
   • Rationale:
     • Your request is specifically about the US stock market.
     • These three exchanges cover the bulk of actively traded US equities and are the standard universe for “biggest gainers” screens.
     • Excluding OTC and foreign exchanges avoids illiquid names and non‑US markets that don’t match your request.

Why Results Match

• The exchange filter ensures we’re only looking at US stocks, directly aligning with “in the US stock market.”
• The price change ≥ 5% filter focuses on significant upward movers, which is exactly the group where the “biggest percentage gainers” are found.
• While we don’t apply a “top N gainers” rank in the filter itself, this setup effectively isolates the strong gainers list; from that universe, you can then sort by percentage change to see the absolute biggest movers.
