Its segments include United States (U.S.) public finance insurance, corporate and International and Structured Finance Insurance. The U.S. public finance insurance portfolio is managed through National, whose financial guarantee insurance policies provide investors with unconditional and irrevocable guarantees of the payment of the principal, interest or other amounts owing on insured obligations when due. The international and structured finance insurance business is managed by MBIA Insurance Corporation and its subsidiaries (MBIA Corp.). Its corporate segment is managed by the Company and several of its subsidiaries, including its service company, MBIA Services Corp.
