The LGL Group, Inc. is a holding company, which is engaged in services, investment and manufacturing business activities. The Company, through its subsidiary, Precise Time and Frequency, LLC (PTF), designs, manufactures and markets time and frequency instruments. PTF serves various industries, including computer networking, satellite ground stations, electric utilities, broadcasting, telecommunication systems, and metrology. PTF's products include Frequency and Time Reference Standards, radio frequency (RF), digital, and optical time code distribution amplifiers, redundancy auto switches and network time protocol (NTP) servers, all of which are used in a range of applications worldwide. The Company operates through a single segment, Electronic Components, which includes all products manufactured and sold by PTF. The Company operates its manufacturing business through PTF, which has a design and manufacturing facility in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
