Contract Award: Technip Energies has secured a contract to supply three fully electric marine loading arms for phase 2 of the Northern Lights CO₂ transport and storage project in Øygarden, Norway.
Innovative Design: The loading arms will feature a fully electric design, marking a first-of-its-kind solution that eliminates the use of hydraulics.
Capacity Expansion: This second phase aims to increase the terminal's capacity to handle over 5 million tonnes of CO₂ per year by 2028.
Previous Success: The contract builds on Technip's successful delivery of the world's first liquefied CO₂ marine loading arms for phase 1 of the project, which is set to enter operation in summer 2025.
