Taiwan's Sustainable Aviation Fuel Initiative: Taiwan has begun supplying sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for the first time, with 400 metric tons imported and 5,500 tons produced domestically, aimed at reducing carbon emissions by 15,000 tons this year.
Future Plans for SAF Usage: The Civil Aviation Administration encourages local airlines to incorporate up to 5% SAF in their fuel programs starting in 2030, although there is currently no mandate in place.
