Missouri Teams Up with Gold Star Foods for "Crunch Off" to Encourage Healthy Eating and Support Local Agriculture

Apple Crunch Off Initiative: The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Gold Star Foods are launching the "Apple Crunch Off" to promote healthy eating among students by providing locally grown apples to 300 school districts throughout October.

Educational Resources and Support: Participating schools will receive free apples and digital toolkits with educational materials about nutrition and farming, supported by the USDA’s Local Foods for Schools Grant, enhancing access to fresh, local foods in schools.
