Major Oil Find in the Yggdrasil Region: Aker BP ASA

Significant Oil Discovery: Aker BP has completed the Omega Alfa exploration campaign in the Norwegian North Sea, resulting in a major oil discovery estimated at 96-134 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe).

Exploration Success: The campaign involved five targets and utilized advanced horizontal drilling techniques, leading to improved reservoir data and reduced subsurface uncertainty.

Yggdrasil Project Progress: The Yggdrasil area is currently the largest field development project on the Norwegian continental shelf, with first oil expected in 2027 and an ambition to exceed one billion barrels through further exploration.
