Winding-up Petition Filed: Liquidators of China Evergrande have filed a winding-up petition against Tianji Holding, a guarantor for offshore senior notes, to protect the interests of creditors and stakeholders.
Debt Restructuring Proposal: In April 2023, Evergrande proposed an offshore debt restructuring plan allowing note holders to exchange existing debt for new notes with maturities ranging from four to eight years, with a court hearing scheduled for January 15, 2025.
