Safaricom's Loan Acquisition: Kenya's largest telecom operator, Safaricom, has secured 15 billion shillings ($116.73 million) through a sustainability-linked loan from local banks, following a similar amount raised last year.
Investment in Renewable Energy: The funds will be utilized to transition transmission sites to renewable energy sources, aligning with the company's sustainability goals as stated by CEO Peter Ndegwa.
