India's LPG Import Strategy: India plans to source 10% of its cooking gas imports from the U.S. by 2026, aiming to diversify suppliers and reduce reliance on Middle Eastern producers, which currently account for over 90% of its LPG imports.
Growing Demand and Trade Goals: With annual LPG demand expected to grow by 5-6%, India is targeting a significant increase in U.S. energy purchases, pledging to raise bilateral trade with the U.S. to $500 billion by 2030, while also eliminating import taxes on U.S. propane and butane.
