Valuation Concerns: The activist investor believes that the buyout proposal does not accurately reflect the true value of Toyota Industries, as reported by sources familiar with the situation.
Buyout Proposal Details: Toyota Fudosan, the real estate arm of Toyota, has proposed to take Toyota Industries private by June 2025, with initial board support but leaving final decisions to shareholders.
Toyota Motor Developments: In addition to the buyout discussions, Toyota Motor Corporation has confirmed its status as a long-term defensive buy and has started production at its first battery plant in the U.S.
