E3 Lithium Begins Permitting for Clearwater Project's Central Processing Facility by Submitting EPEA Application
EPEA Application Submission: E3 Lithium has submitted its Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA) application to the Alberta Energy Regulator, marking a significant step in the permitting process for its Clearwater Project Central Processing Facility (CPF).
D56 Consultation Program Initiation: The company has also initiated the formal consultation and notification process under AER Directive 056, which is necessary before submitting the D56 facility application, expected in early 2026.
Production Plans: The Clearwater Project aims to produce up to 32,000 tonnes per year of lithium carbonate, with Phase 1 production targeted at approximately 12,000 tonnes per year.
Regulatory Framework: E3 Lithium is the first company to receive a facility license under Alberta's Mineral Resource Development Act for lithium in brine, highlighting the regulatory progress and engagement with local stakeholders throughout the project development.
