INEOS CO2 Storage Project: INEOS has made a final investment decision to build the Greensand Future CO2 storage project off Denmark, which aims to inject up to 400,000 tonnes of CO2 annually from biomethane plants into a depleted oilfield starting in late 2025 or early 2026.
Investment and Capacity Expansion: The project, supported by a Danish government grant, is expected to involve over $150 million in investments and has the potential to expand its storage capacity to 8 million tonnes by 2030, leveraging existing infrastructure for cost efficiency.
