Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 65% of its total assets in income securities of U.S. issuers rated below investment grade quality or unrated income securities. The Fund primarily seeks high current income. The Fund also seeks capital growth as a secondary objective, to the extent consistent with its objective of seeking high current income. The Fund invests primarily in fixed-income securities of below investment grade credit quality. Issuers of below-investment-grade securities may include companies in early stages of development and companies with a highly leveraged financial structure. The Fund may invest up to 10% of its total assets in floating-rate loans. The Fund’s advisor is BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. and the sub-advisor is Alcentra NY, LLC.
