Focus Areas: The initiative will concentrate on biomass and hydrogen technologies, providing subsidies and support through Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to enhance commercialization efforts.

Bridging Research and Market: The program aims to connect university research with business models, facilitating the entry of Japanese innovations into the U.S. market while also launching a Southeast Asia hub in Singapore.

Funding Mechanism: METI plans to utilize Green Transformation transition bonds to finance parts of this collaboration, addressing Japan's need to convert research into competitive companies amidst challenges in commercialization compared to the U.S.
