Telstra Fined for Service Changes: Telstra has been fined A$18 million by the Federal Court for reducing internet speeds for approximately 9,000 customers without prior notification, as reported by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
Customer Compensation and Remediation: The company will compensate affected customers with A$15 for each month they were on the lower-speed plan and is currently completing remediation efforts for those impacted.
