Tanker Arrival: A Russian tanker carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the sanctioned Arctic LNG 2 project has docked at a Chinese port, marking the second cargo from this project to reach China after a previous delivery in late August.
Production Challenges: The Arctic LNG 2 project, which began production in December 2023, faces delays in cargo supply due to a shortage of ice-class gas carriers and Western sanctions related to Russia's conflict with Ukraine, despite its potential to become one of Russia's largest LNG plants.
