- Stock Surge: NuScale Power's shares rose 14.9% on Monday to $18.67, reflecting strong market optimism regarding the U.S. House's renewed focus on nuclear energy, which enhances investor confidence in small modular reactors (SMRs).
- Policy Support: The House Energy Subcommittee is set to hold a hearing aimed at reducing regulatory hurdles for nuclear plant deployment and advancing executive orders from President Trump, which are expected to accelerate the rollout of SMRs.
- Future Outlook: Trump's plan anticipates three experimental nuclear reactors operational by July 2026 and multiple SMRs deployed by the end of 2027, potentially opening significant market opportunities for NuScale Power, although analysts generally believe profitability won't be achieved before 2030.
