Pi Network Ventures Supports OpenMind in Developing a Decentralized Operating System for Robots
Pi Network Ventures' Investment: Pi Network Ventures has made its first investment by supporting OpenMind, a company focused on creating a decentralized operating system for robots, following OpenMind's previous $20M funding round.
OpenMind's Technology: OpenMind is developing OM1, a hardware-agnostic OS for robots, and FABRIC, a protocol for secure identity verification and collaboration among machines.
Successful Proof-of-Concept: A proof-of-concept experiment with over 350,000 Pi Network nodes demonstrated the capability of the decentralized network to manage real AI workloads, allowing node operators to earn Pi for their contributions.
Future Plans: OpenMind intends to expand the development of OM1 and FABRIC, refine pilot programs, and onboard more partners in the coming year.
