InnovateNaija Launch: The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) and AfriLabs have launched the ₦250 million InnovateNaija innovation challenge to empower young Nigerian innovators and transform local ideas into global solutions.
Competition Structure: The challenge will select 37 innovators from Nigeria's 36 states and the FCT through public voting, with each winner receiving ₦2.5 million in grants, and the top 15 competing for ₦100 million in funding at the NASENI Invention Fest in February 2026.
Support and Resources: Winners will gain access to the NASENI Innovation Hub, which offers mentorship, infrastructure, and resources to help turn innovative ideas into scalable businesses.
Youth Empowerment: The initiative aims to harness Nigeria's youthful population to drive digital transformation and innovation, showcasing the country's potential in science, engineering, and manufacturing.
