Goldman Sachs Acquires Innovator Capital Management: Goldman Sachs has agreed to acquire Innovator Capital Management for approximately $2 billion, enhancing its asset-management arm with Innovator's defined-outcome products and expanding its ETF offerings.
Expected Completion and Asset Transfer: The acquisition is anticipated to close in the second quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval, and will transfer around $28 billion in assets under supervision from Innovator to Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Integration of Innovator's Team and Products: Over 60 employees from Innovator are expected to join Goldman Sachs, contributing to the development of new investment solutions, including innovative ETFs like the QBF ETF, which offers controlled exposure to Bitcoin.
Shift in Digital-Asset Strategy: Goldman Sachs has significantly increased its involvement in digital assets since 2020, participating in numerous funding rounds and acquiring substantial investments in Bitcoin ETFs, positioning itself as a key player in the evolving cryptocurrency market.
