Four Nigerians in the UK Sentenced to 22 Years for Phone Robbery
Gang Sentencing: Four UK-based Nigerians received a combined 22-year prison sentence for their involvement in a phone robbery operation that targeted mobile phone shops in London, contributing to a total gang sentence of over 55 years for stealing £240,000 worth of items.
Robbery Modus Operandi: The ten-man gang primarily targeted EE stores, using threats of violence to force staff to access secure stock rooms, and were arrested while attempting another robbery in November 2024.
Investigation Techniques: The Metropolitan Police utilized CCTV analysis, forensic evidence, and mobile phone data to link the suspects to the crimes, leading to the recovery of stolen devices and further evidence of their involvement in additional robberies.
