Crypto Hacker's Millions Vanish as Project Erases Stolen Tokens

Hacker Communication: Following the hack, Yearn Finance attempted to engage with the hacker, warning them about the risk of their stolen tokens being burned and offering to discuss terms privately.
Token Burning: On December 1, Yearn Finance burned $2.4 million worth of stolen tokens from the hacker's balance, while minting an equivalent amount to their multisig wallet to stabilize the ecosystem.
Previous Exploits: This incident marks the third significant exploit for Yearn Finance, which previously lost $11 million in two separate breaches in 2021 and 2023.
